Alexandra School
The works at Alexandra School comprise a new two-storey classroom block and the refurbishment of the existing staff administration space.
Full-height glazing and generous ceiling heights offer high-quality teaching space with additional breakout areas provided within the gallery space connecting the classrooms at the rear.
Stepped facades and fin walls, allow the new addition to nestle within the existing buildings where it takes pride of place. The timber rain screen draws inspiration from the local vernacular, as well as a response to its environment.
Strong lines and minimal detailing accentuate the ribbons of Siberian Larch cloaking the classroom accommodation resulting in a composed elevational treatment.
